Chief Mwanachingwala has finally reacted to the defeat of his candidate. This now appears to be the end of politicking for the most political of chiefs.

Really? My reading was that he was declaring the intention to become an equally ardent sycophant for the new PF government. Is there reason to believe that he will be any less opportunistic given the change? Or is it that his attempts are likely to be rebuffed?
